Quick question, which direction does the spring end of the thermostat go , toward the transom ( engine) or the hoses ( front) ? The manual shows towards the front while everything I find on the web says the spring end goes towards the engine. Also does the cork gasket go in before the thermostat or on top of it ? Thank You
