Thermostat Location 1965 Mercruiser

Hello,

Am working on restoring an old Starcraft with a 1965 110 Hp 4 cylinder GM Mercruiser engine. Would it have a thermostat and if so where is it? Can't seem to figure out where.

There are several different setups on the 110's. CLICK HERE and look at the exhaust and front water system links for pictures of the different setups and find the one like yours.

Where was yours located?
I have heard they stuck them in various locations over the years.
