Can someone tell me or show me (diagram) of where the thermostat is located on a Volvo Penta 4.3L V6 280HP I/O Forward Drive?

I can't answer that but perhaps it's in a similar location as the automotive applications. Perhaps look up 4.3 direct injection or lv3 thermostat location

Yep the model # is the key to what you have with a V/P.
