Thermostat Temp part #807252T2

I thought boats used a 140 degree therm... I found part number 807252T2 for mine and it says it is a 160 temp and my boat operates at 160 is this correct?

That may be correct for that part number,I don't know.However I just bought a 140 degree thermostat and the part number is #807252T1.It's a Quicksilver part and says 140F right on it.

I checked it out and they used both 140 and 160 in the 5.0.It just depends on the engine model ie: carburetor-fuel injection-which type of fuel injection-open or closed cooling system.You need to check with your Serial/Model number to be sure.
