Thermostat test results

'94 60Hp, chasing a overheat issue at low RPM.
Poppet valve looked ok (is there a proper alignment for the little groove in the plastic poppet? Never seen any indication on that)

Tested the thermostat. It's a 120, but dropped off the thread at ~130. Opened up full at ~140.

Before I go ahead and drop the LU to look at the impeller just wondered if that is ok.
From what I understand, the warning is supposed to trip when the temp hits 300 deg F?

I was going to test the sensor, but I didn't want to yank on the wire. tried to pry out the rubber grommet with a screwdrive, but din't want to force it. What's the easiest way to pull it off the powerhead?

Next will be impeller and obstruction in water tube, but just wanted to clear the above before getting that far.

LOW rpm. If you don't when the last time that impellar has been changed, or it has been a few years. it should be changed. In fact. that would be where I would start.
