They increased my boat insurance and I'm NOT happy!

I got my insurance renewal from BoatUS today.<br /><br />They seemed to have hopped on the stick-it-to-ya insurance wagon and increased my premium.<br /><br />I'M PISSED!<br /><br />I have no accidents...No nothing! Clean driver.<br /><br />Does anyone know if I can 'down-grade' the insurance since I don't owe as much on the boat, and it isn't worth as much as it was when I first signed with BoatUS ?<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />H.

I don't think you can really "downgrade", since financially, you don't own boat and the lien holders want to make sure they are covered, regardles of what is costs you ( I tried it with an almost-paid-for junker car, with no luck)<br /><br />There is nothing however, to keep you from shopping different companies for a better rate.<br /><br />Good luck.

You can probably increase your deductable and lower your rate that way too. You may also be able to decrease your liability limits.
