Got told the project I just picked up was just a few parts away from being complete. HA-HA. I need to know if someone can tell what year and weather or not i can run these as twins. The first one is MODEL # 25803C SERIAL #E0002284 the second one is MODEL # J25RCNB SERIAL # E5630499. Thank you for your time. Ill have more questions once i get this part figured out

J25 RCNB is a 1982 25 hp Johnson. 25803 is a 1978 25hp Evinrude. i don't see why you could not run them as twins. they use the same controls, have basically the same lower unit, and power head.

Pretty much the same motor. Subtle differences only. They might look a little odd since the cowls are slightly different, but they will work fine.

you might look at this, you would have to dash mount electrics.

About a few hundred. I saw this boat moving up and down the big SU here in Alaska last summer.16 ft 1950 starcraft. The hull in great shape.A few weeks ago i see it in a lot for sale. Now there is 2 25 johnson hp seahorse cowlings on the back. IT was on privet prop. but i got the number and called. $2000 and it is on a trailer has a troling motor in it just a few parts from having two motors running. Now that it is in my garage the first 25 was just slid over so the second one would fit for a place to hang it. As the tarp came off there are (i will get all the numbers on here later)4.5 ted williams 9.9 johnson and bukets of gear, parts motors and lower units. Im in alaska and still have a month befor ice out and amonth and a half befor the first fish and now I want both these motors on this boat.JUST DONT TELL THE WIFE WHAT IT WILL COST. She thinks boat is a four letter word. Hey it is! Ive been testing the motors and they all work. Ill get this back to the way it looked when i got it and post some pics as i go. One more question the title on the boat says 1950 starcraft. I cant find no numbers ho do i tell for sure? thanks guys

prior to 1972 hull id #s were not required. neither were boat titles.

Sounds like you got something of a deal, there, if those two 25s are working OK. That oughta be quite a mover with twin 25s on the back. Sell the 9.9 and you should get some of your cash back. The 4.5...not so much. Sell the other junk stuff in the boat on eBay as parts.

You could come out smelling like a rose (and that's a four-letter word, too).
