Hi Folks
I have been changing the impeller and gear oil on my 2007 6hp Yam and had a bit of trouble with the impeller going on so I gave it a very gentle tap! Never thought anymore about it and put the gear casing back on tested the gears and could get it into neutral but forward locked out totally wouldn't move either way and reverse moved one way but appeared to be making a clicking noise in the gear case and making the shift rod move up and down. So I took it back off took the impeller housing and seals which allowed me to pull the shift rod. At this point my bottle smashed as we would say in Scotland!! and I decided I would ask you guys if I have messed it up and needs to go to the dealer or its something simple.
Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.
