I hooked up the cables for the electric start backwards. Got a spark, thought "that's odd", but forged ahead. Left it hooked up that way for a while as I located the key, which I turned with no result. Jiggled the handle a little to make sure I was in neutral, still nothing. I realized my error switched the cables back (correctly) but still no turn over, no nothing. Jumped the battery w/ my car, still no turn over. Lights & bilge pump work, and I charged the battery over night so I have to assume I fried something when I reversed the battery cables. Any idea what that something might be and how hard and/or expensive it might be to fix? Thanks.

Re: Think I messed up my 2006 Suzuki DF25

I searched some old posts looking for ideas and ended up looking for an easily accessible breaker or fuse. I found a burnt out 20 amp mini-fuse in a little white plastic "box" near the front port side of the motor. Replaced it with the spare right next to it and I'm good to go. Thanks iboats and thanks Suzuki for this bit of idiot proofing.
