thinking about buying a boat w/twin chrysler 440's-WHAT SHOULD I KNOW?

a boat with twin 440's! what are the considerations with regards to these older chrysler power plants. they are mated to 1:1 borg/warner trannys. owner says the boat is ready to go mechanically-the boat needs t.l.c.!

Ya thanks Bond-o. I know it's an inboard, I corrected the typo and I believe this is the INBOARD forum which makes it the right forum to post in. do you have knowledge of the 440's or the sunbridge, or are you just being a know it all-thanks anyways!

Thanks to ALL who responded to my question.

I have opted to "keep looking". the boats and toys I have now will just have to do. Will be going bigger someday, just not today! cheers.
