Maybe the dead one had kicked his butt in an earlier fight and he was getting revenge.

Buck tag or not, for the safety of all I think I would have dropped him. Then had him checked for CWD. One CRAZY buck!

first you have to yell out" he's coming right for us " then it's self defence

I would have shot that Sum B***h and claimed self defense, those deer in rut are crazier than an 18 year in the red light district!

Yikes!

How true we were goose hunting one time sitting on the fence line, a few does came running jumped the fence and took off. Minutes later here comes a buck trotting with the nose to the ground and just plowed into the fence..backed up made the jump all the while we were standing there watching him...He could have cared less.

Re: This deer is nutty!

I and a friend were squirrel hunting years ago behind my Grandparents house w single shot shotguns, both about 13 yrs old when I heard him shoot and then heard him screaming from hundreds of yrds away. I assumed he had shot and injured himself and I ran through the woods yelling and looking for him but he would'nt answer me. I was scared and in a panic and I finally saw him leaning against a tree. I ran up out of breath and asked what happened. He shushed me and pointed as he whispered and told me he heard 2 bucks fighting and went to investigate. He saw the big bucks fighting like mad and approached them as they ignored him even when he got within 50' or so. The fight ended when one buck who had been on the ground getting bulldoged jumped up and ran off quickly. Then the bigger buck looked at my friend and started coming towards him stiffly walking w his head down. He fired a shot into the ground and the buck did'nt stop, so he started running away screaming and hiding behind trees until I showed up! He thought the buck was still there so he would'nt answer me when I called, I told him baloney, but realized he was shaking badly and then he showed me the torn up ground where the fight took place down the hill from him. We both became deer hunters after that!!
