THIS is the sort of boat I used to take out into the ocean and quite often in the Delaware Bay, eh, I wouldnt dream of doing something that stupid TODAY, but back then, it was a blast! (ok, ok, I would still go out to the closer grounds in Del bay, but I would never, NEVER take on that basstard cape may inlet again, noooooo, drifted for a half hour fluking and what WAS glass was a scary as all hell trip back in

The New and Improved Hydro is an 18 footer with freeboard and beam to rival many 22 footers, once I get the engine room squared away, Ill sink both throttles right into the stops and fly over those waves, no fear of (ocean) water there!

:D

Hi Castaway.... In addition to the Lido 'Classic', I have another boat that is a GREAT boat in pretty big stuff. Have you ever seen a Livingston? I have a 15.5' that I shipped here in my container from Hawaii. You'll have to check out their website:

http://www.livingstonboats.com/boats.html

I highly recommend them. And.... they also go fast with the right motor :D We always felt comfortable taking it outside the harbor when going scuba diving. Very stable boat. Twin-V hulls and basically unsinkable since they have built in flotation 'chambers' in the seats.

Their site says max HP is 105 for the 15.5 model.
I only had a 20HP on mine.... actually, it may have been a 15. That was more than a day ago and I can't remember now. The boat lived, the motor died!

lol, OMG, a SEVEN AND A HALF FOOT BOAT

the fifteen footer is nearly the top of the line!!!!

nine footers, ten footers, jeeze, and yes, Ive seen a livingston up close, nicely made beastie, the one I saw was a twelve footer or so, out in gettysburg when I went to pick up the 33 horse johnny

but going to sea in a bathtub sized boat ... even if it cant sink, lol, there aint much wreckage to cling to!

would be interesting to hook up a livingston with a Briggs and Stratton engine, and send it out into the Hurricane with a 30 gallon fuel cel and a transponder, see how far it gets out in ROUGH stuff, just let it sorta churn away out into the WILD blue yonder
