I thought I asked earlier about trolling motors. I have a 19' Starcraft superfisherman and will be using it mainly in Canada. I like the idea of the Engine mounted trolling motor on the cavitation plate. I just use it to go backwards or forwards to keep in place mainly. $600.00 is about the cost of one of these and it won't take up any room on deck. Do any of you have any experience with these? Good or bad I would like to know. Thank you in advance. Bob your resident CHEESE HEAD.

That chunk of change will buy you a very nice Minnkota bow mount that can actually be used for something. But if you really want the AV plate mounted thing, go for it. What can we say? Got room for two more batteries? Most are 24 volts. You will also need a two bank on-board charger so you can plug in at the dock to charge those batteries. Don't plan on the engine being able to keep up with charging because it won't.

Seems like they might be good for just putzing around, but it easier for a TM to pull a boat rather than push it. Think minnkota says engine mount TM supposed to rise out of water on plane, to eliminate drag. I cant say either way, I use a bowmount. BTW enjoy your SB win, cheesehead:)
