Ok - i've got my carb kits and my plan is to rebuild all three carbs one at a time, starting with the bottom carb because the idle circuit appears to be plugged. Motor will not idle but if i start it above half throttle it runs like a champ.

I can not for the life of me figure out how to get enough leverage or clearance on the bottom carb to remove the starboard side nut securing the carb to the stud in the crankcase. Suggestions? Special tools? Everything that i can get enough leverage with is too big to fit into the space along side the carb. Anything that fits won't allow me enough leverage.

Color me frustrated!

1/4" ratchet with about a 3" extension. Tap the extension and socket over the nut with a hammer or the ratchet itself and remove as normal. It helps to remove the front support to get to it.

One 1/4'' socket set later, one carb removed. Found the plastic float cracked and full of gasoline. I guess three more floats are on the list.

Thanks!
