On the transom area of my boat there are a few holes I would like to plug but dont know the best way to go about it. First about 8" above the built in swim platform is a elec. plug similar to anchor light socket but must have powered something else it is not wired up and the receptical is now starting to rust a bit, I would prefer getting rid of the whole thing but it will leave about a 1" hole there. I could glass it over but matching the off white gelcoat would be rather difficult and would probably look worse than it does now. Is there a type of button(plastic) or plug that anyone knows of that could be sealed into the hole. Like a knockout plug for a steel electrical box, but in plastic even if it were a bit different in color it wouldn't look like a bad patch. Any ideas or thoughts? Also about 8" above that there is (what looks like to me) holder for a trolling pole which I dont intend on using but it would leave about a 2" hole maybe bigger. I thought since it leads to the engine compartment I would cover it up with a clamshell and give the compartment a bit more fresh air. Any other ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

This is the product you need:http://www.marinetex.com/

It does dry white but not shiny and it doesn't buff well. But if you need a lasting repair then I recommend it.
