Thoughts?

i have a bayliner with a 3.0L Merc and Alpha One. 1999 model.

When i was at the lake yesterday when i would start out about a 1/4 of the way down on the throttle the would fall all over itself and then as i pushed into the throttle it would jump up and go just like always.

Thoughts as to what this could be?

Possibly the accelerator pump.....
When you pump the throttle with the flame arrestor off you should get a solid stream of fuel....
If not time for a rebuild....​
