Unfortunately there is not much you can do. You can dry everything well, and insert the brass bolt using Permatex red on the bolt and both sides of both gaskets and just snug it. Ultimately you will need to find another carb. You can use one off a Chrysler 35, 45, 50, or 55. The 35 will stunt performance a bit though.

No, that is a very fine thread, I don't believe an insert is made for it and there is not enough metal on the casting. Additionally, the bolt is such a length that it does not block the high speed jet.

There are lots of ways to fix your problem. It just depends on how mechanically inclined you are. IF (and that is a big IF) the stripped threaded area is only for tightening the fuel bowl on and doesn't have any through holes in it, you can always use some JB weld and re-tap it again. OR you can buy a tap of a slightly larger size and move up to the next size bolt. OR you can re-tap it with a larger tap and then thread and epoxy in a bolt and cut it off and drill out for the normal size (kind of like a heli-coil) or maybe even a little smaller size bolt. If it does have holes through it for maybe the high speed circuit, then you can coat the original bolt or threaded fastener with some oil and JB weld it into place without the carb bowl and once it cured, back out the fastener and install the bowl as usual... The JB weld will make new threads and the oil will allow the fastener to be removed...
