Hello,

I just launched my newly rebuilt Mercruiser 5.7, 260hp. First question, my steering is say, ratcheting, or chopy, not sure on the correct term. When i turn, the boat will actually shake a bit and a i feel it in the wheel. Could I have air in the lines? I forgot, were talking about power steering.

Second question, I have two hours on the motor and a belt started squealing, any Idea? I will check for tightness in the morning.

Third question, What is the correct operating temp for my motor. I have closed cooling. It has been steady at 125 during the first couple hours of breakin.

Thanks for any help.

Don't take this wrong, but I am going to close this thread.
Best thing you could do is start a new thread for each question. or it will be so confused by who is answering what and when and...........................
It's going to be a train wreck.
