I am trying to locate the correct adapter to fit on my new Edelbrock 600 CFM carb. My lower bolt hole on the new carb connects to the throttle plunger (in red plastic showing) it but I cannot get WOP because it stops just short of getting the 2nds to open.I am holding it wide open but it wont curl up. Is there an adapter that can fit on it to get the next 1/2 inch for WOP???? I have adjusted it but it wont curl up it just plunges straight and stops. I need the angle up. Any thoughts out there/

You have a mismatch of the throw distance of the cable to the leverage on the carb arm. It would appear that you need to shorten the distance between the current mounting hole on the carb bracket and the main butterfly shaft pivot point. They don't give you much distance to play with. (from what I can see)

I would experiment (before drilling) by moving your cable end to the outside of the carb bracket and picking a point on the carb bracket that you could redrill a new mounting hole.

Can you put the red part on the outside of the throttle arm ? You may have to tweak and adjust the cable bracket that bolts to the manifold.

Another possibility to look into is to check inside your throttle/shift control box to see if there are any options to lengthen the throw of the throttle cable.

You either need to lengthen the throw of the cable or shorten (as noted above) the leverage on the carb arm.

In either case you will need to move the cable end to the outside of the carb arm.

Fits nice on the inside but I can put it outside. I have orderd some adapters but not sure if they will swing up either. Will see. Thanks for the nice pic points. Good idea to move the hole up//
