Throttle and shift cables

I recently installed a center console on my Bluefin skiff. I have not attached the cables to the hull as I haven't figured out how I should run them. Can anyone please tell me what it means when cables need a "full loop",and if familiar with this boat, how should I run the cables? Thanks.

i belive a full loop means to loop enough cable for the motor to tilt and turn without binding....james
