THROTTLE ASSEMBLY FOR 77 OMC ELECTRIC SHIFT

I lost reverse and forward and traced my problem back to the shift lever assembly itself. Inside the shifter housing is a plasic (clutch?) with a notch, which I'm assuming is for neutral, where the switch toggle goes into. This is the same plastic peice that is attached the threaded knob on the outside that you pull for neutral. When shifting into forward it flips the switch up and, of course, down for reverse. My problem is that this plastic peice is not functioning properlerly which leaves me stuck in neutral or forward. Any ideas on repair or know where I can get a replacement?

Try Seaway Marine in Seattle. They had the same part(s) for my 1975 225 OMC single lever control. They won't be cheap, but they'll most likely have it.

Ron

Thanks Ron, come to find out my problem is actually the switch itself. Do you know where I may be able to find a new or used switch?
