Re: throttle cable slack

on the ends of your cables, are there what look like scewable tabs? (similar to TV cable ends) if so you can tighten them there. If not the adjusters may be in the control box or engine attachments.

Re: throttle cable slack

Weathers hot and dry right now. Many love it, I don't, the trout fishing goes down hill till the fall unless you hit the mountain lakes. As for Butcharts Gardens I hope you liked it, my uncle pretty much runs the place. (well maybe not, but thats the way he tells it!!lol) I hope the cables are tight enough for you now. The way to tell is if there is any dead spots pushing up or down the throttle. They will be near idle or full throttle if they are there.

Maybe you're just trippin.

It's gotta shift clearly into gear way before the trottle actuating.

It's just the way most of them are.

Re: throttle cable slack

does that include a loss of cable tension?
engages gear ok, trolling OK, then at about
11 O'clock it has a dead spot with no cable
tension. shifter has 2-3" free play back and forth.
thanks,
M.Y.
