I have 1993 70hp Johnson. I am trying to find a part number or updated throttle Control box that's pretty much plug and play. Any ideas out there. I believe my oem. Is failing. Any help would be much appreciated.
Any control box with a big red plug on the end of the harness will be " plug and play " on any motor with the big red plug.----What issue do you have with your control box ??

Thanks. It seems like it's no working correctly( over heating alarm, slipping into gear, just feel that it's not responding as it should) looks very old, thought be a good idea to update it
I would take it apart to investigate.------Any trouble shooting done at the motor end ?------A factory new control box and possible an adapter cable will be big $$-----E-bay may be an option.-----Your location ?

I am thinking about going aftermarket box. Can't take box apart previous owner strip screws, tried drilling out, (broke so many bits). If I can pick up one for 200.00 or less, I will try that. Location: twin cities, mn
