took our sea ray 4.3 merc to the lake today and noticed that the detent that is normally neutral position is gone... In other words when I shift from forward to reverse the shifter word stop "click" when I reach the neutral spot. Now it does not "stop" or"click" goes directly from fwd to rev.. What do I need to check?
. There is probably a little ball and spring inside there and it is sticking. Needs to be cleaned and lubed most likely.
