is there a way my handle can be snugged up or tightened in my 2010 Bayliner 3.0 TKS?

every now and then lately, I’ll hit a wave, and the handle will move and the throttle is moved. It has me worried that one day I’ll hit a big wave and the engine will jump up in speed and get out of control.

I think I just found my own answer. My manual shows a friction control adjustment nut....... now to just find the little sucker!

Hopefully if the throttle were to move, it go in the opposite direction. Be careful not to make it too tight as your fine speed adjustment will be trickier.

Nah, just needs to be snugged up a little, it’s not dancing around. Seems like a normal maintenance step I need to become familiar with.
