Throttle keeps moving.

I have a new 1980's OMC throttle control for a 1990 Johnson 140 HP engine. When running around 3500 RPM the throttle moves and RPM decreases. I'm quite sure it's the throttle moving and not the engine.

When I installed the throttle I didn't notice any "friction" adjustment.
Is there anything I can do to tighten up the throttle either at the control or at the engine?

Not at the engine. On the remote control there shoud be a friction adjustment. Sometimes it's a knob, sometimes you need a screwdriver.

I'm quite sure there's no knob. I'll take another look at it and see if I can find something.
Thanks.

If its an OMC brand control there probably isnt a friction adjustment. The idea is that you need to keep your hand on the throttle all the time.
