Throttle Linkage setting

I replaced the throttle linkage from control box to motor. How is the best way to reset positioning. I set it at full forward, throttle wide open. Mid way, throttle at start pos. And full back, throttle is at slow. I could not get it dead on but close. Is this correct? Motor is a 1959 35hp Johnson.<br />Thanks<br />Michael

Hello.<br />Sounds like your method worked. For fine tuning the thing, you can use the little adjustment wheel at the end of the cable.<br />Good luck.
