Throttle Problem

I have a merc reband 1000, she runs like a dream. But, sometimes even when i let her idle for a minute or so, then apply the throttle it dies on me. I start up again and will work ok. What could it be?

Age? Or maybe your idle jets just need to be richened another 1/8 turn. Having no thermostat, those always did need a good deal of warming-up. A minute or so probably isn't enough.

hello <br />yep<br /> and sometimes a weak fuel pump will not keep the carb fuel bowls full. its common to see them idle out then hammerdown and not go. fuel pump kits are cheap and its not hard to rebuild.
