Thru hull sealant?

I need to drill and mount a thru hull transducer. Probably using plastic fairing blocks. Is there a better sealant/adhesive than 3Ms 5000? (whatever)
All the manufacture says is use a adhesive sealant "such as" 3Ms bla, bla. Not a specific recomendation exactly. This will be a 1 1/16" hole. Kinda scary for me.

I'd use 3M 4200.

Is there a difference between 4200 & 3M 5200? (finally got the # right).

5200 is permanent 4200 is not
