Thru Transom Exhaust Cleaning

Does anyone know of a good way to clean my Thru Transom Exhaust Tips? I think they are stainless steel, but not sure. Just need to clean the oxidation and carborized material off of them........please help.......

Do you have an electric drill? If you do go down to your local hardware store ask them if they have any buffing wheels that you can chuck up in the drill. SHould cost you about $6 - $7 for one. Then go to your local auto parts store and get some alum/metal polish creme. <br /><br />Use it a small amount at a time and buff it on and keep going till disappears. I bet you will like what you get - and its a lot easier than pure elbow grease!<br /> <br />Bill

Flitz makes a product to clean stainless sinks and works very well on stainless rub rails etc.3M also makes a great stainless aluminum polish.Good luck. Delta Breeze

Ok guys, thanks alot for your help........and try scrubbing it out and see what results I get!
