Really need some ideal on what I should do. makes a thumping noise going into forward until it planes up. Runs great after that. Has my lower unit gone bad?
If your shift is adjusted properly then the clutch dog is on the way south, the sooner it's repair the less it will cost, if you continue to run it will take fwd gear with it
