Thunderbolt icm conversion help please!!...

97 5.7 mercruiser original icm 807264-3......conversion kit is 807264a01......my question is the two wires coming from distributor white/green white/red.....and the two new wires have different corresponding connectors causing the two to mix...instead of green going to green its crossing to the red is this a manufactuor error or is that correct. Thanks

I installed that kit last year and don't remember having that issue. The boat is 3hrs away, so can't check it for you. From a SM, the white/grn should go to connector pin G. White/red should go to pin I. From my old T5 connector harness, the white/red should have a male bullet connector that mates with a female one going to the distributer. The white/grn should have a female from the connector mating with a male one going to the distributer.
