thunderbolt III ignition

can a thunderbolt III CDI ignition system (off of a 1973> 850) be used on a 500 >1972 that has the thunderbolt II system????


looks like everything will interchange, dist. switch box, coil...

any issues with the wiring?

Dont think it will work as the tower shaft is different and longer if I remember...
