Thunderbolt IV Ignition System

I was wondering if anyone could tell me or post a link that has a troubleshooting guide for my Ignition Module (ICM). I have a 1987 Mercrusier I/O V8 305 230hp and am not getting fire to it. Yesterday I troubleshooted the ignition system from a diagram that i had gotten from another forum for my system and it lead me to a bad Ignition Module. I was just curious if there was a way I could use an olhm meter and check the ICM on it's on to verify this is my problem before I go and spend $255.00 on a new one. If it helps at all my ICM is mounted on my starboard exhaust manifold and not the distributor. It is a big black square box shape. Any help would be much appreciated..

Nevermind, I had previously run one of the ignition test the wrong way and went back to redo it. Now it is showing that my Ignition Sensor in the distributor is bad and needs replaced.
