hello, first time posting here,i have a 1989 4.3 liter mercruiser thunderbolt iv ignition i rebuilt the motor in my garage this winter and was wonder how do i jumper the plug to start motor and test before i put it in boat ?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... Run 12v to the coil's (+) terminal, ground to the block, 'n 12v to the starter to turn it over,....
