After diagnosing my ignition problem as the sensor in the distributor,it looks like an easy fix. So there must be more to it. Anything else I should be awae of as I replace the unit?
You'll also want to buy a new rotor as they can be damaged during removal. Also it's recommended by Mercruiser to use blue Loctite on the rotor locating key during installation.
To replace the sensor under the distributor, is it as simple as removing the old one and installing a new one? Do I need to adjust the timing or anything with the new one?
