Hi Guys,
Well, after buying a new coil today, I still didnt have a spark. I posted a week back telling the story about the ground cable coming off the batter while running fast.
Well I tested the + tive side of the coil with the ignition on and I have 12volts when I grounded my Multimeter. I then checked the white/red wire coming from the distributor ( I disconnected the bullet connector) and I have no voltage. I also tried the white red wire coming out of the Ignition and had no voltage. Any other tests to confirm its my Thunderbolt?
I found a good working Thunderbolt with a 24r on it. The one I am taking off is a 20r. Its for a carbed 454 that was setup pretty conservative. Will the 4 degrees of timing make that big of a difference at 4k rpm? I really want to get on the water this weekend.. Havnt been out since the 4th.
Thanks,
Joe
