Hello, I'm new (as of today) to this forum. I have a 16' Tidecraft fiberglass boat that I am restoring. I haven't pulled the old decals off yet because I didn't know if I'd be able to replace them. I can't find a website for Tidecraft boats... so, does anyone have an idea how I could get new ones? Also, the aluminum trim (riveted) needs replacing. Any help on where to find this would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

Take plenty of pictures and make templates of them before taking them off. You can have a sign company make new ones for you. You can also have a company like boatUS, WESTMARINE, or sailnet make you some.

Wellcome to the forums. And I can help you out for shure providing there is a vynel lettering, sign shop in your area. You will not be able to get the old decals even if you find and old dealer, but here is how you do it as I just had a whole set made for an old ski supreme.

Take a peice of butcher paper long enough to cover your decals and tape it above them letting the paper hang over them. Next take a black or dark blue crayon with the paper taken off all around and with the side of the crayon lightly (youll figure how hard to push quickly) rub accross the paper over the decal with the side of the crayon, it will leave an outline of the decal. When you are done with all the patterns take them to the signshop and they will make them for you in any color you chose. They will look just like the originals!

Good luck with your restoration!

Thanks guys! I'm not quite at that point yet, but at least I'll know what direction I need to go when I get to the final stages.
