I have a 1960 or 1959 Johnson 10 horsepower it's been a beautiful motor since I've had it since 1970 very few hours on it a simple question where would be the set screw to tighten the motor so it doesn't turn either to the left or to the right I just need to tighten it just a little bit other than that it runs great purse like a kitten then I'm really proud to have this 10 horsepower Johnson motor thank you I hope we get some responses on this

On the older motors I have owned, there was a screw with a spring wrapped around it on the side of the leg below the cowling. Slightly tightening that screw would tighten the steering effort needed. Many had a knurled head on the screw so fingers could be used, but it wasnt easy. I owned a 56, a 64, a 59 and a 79 and they all had that screw.
