Tiller extension handle?

Hey guys just wondering what anybody uses for an extension handle for the tiller on a 15 hp evinrude or any outboard for that matter. I used pvc on my old motor but this tiller is too big for 1 1/2" pvc and too small for 2" pvc. I cant find 1 3/4" anywhere which makes me wonder if they make it. ANy suggestion? The ones that they sell dont get long enough for me and they're kind of flimsy. Thanks.

Don't trow away that PVC. I used a saw and cut some groves down the length of the PVC about three inches which will allow it to fit. Four notches in all. Works pretty well and comes off with a slight pull. Make sure to mark it as an extension as others who come across it will tend to throw it in the trash. LOL. Best of luck. Rick.
