I apologize, im sure this has been covered but I just cant find it.

I bought a tiller motor (25hp 1998 2cyl johnson) and it's a little tough to steer. Not like corroded/stuck but a little tough. I recall reading that there's a place to add grease but I can't find any info on where or what kind of grease. Can anyone help me out?

Marine 24C multi grease. Any marina would have it. There should be a zirc - just keep looking. There should also be a friction nut. Maybe loosening that will solve the problem, but grease it anyway.

The friction nut is under the bottom of the lower cowl on the steering tube.
