Tiller Throttle Cable

I did a conversion from remote to tiller on my '92 Evinrude 90hp Jet, and I'm wondering if there is a way to get more movement in the throttle cable? When I hook the cable up it and twist the throttle, I'm still about a quarter inch short on the roller for it to be opened up all the way.

Any help is appreciated.

you should be able to, look at the cable where it goes you should have a nut or 2 to adjust

Re: Tiller Throttle Cable

I have a 98 Evinrude 90hp jet and converted it to a tiller also. I had to make a small aluminum bracket to connect the cable to so it would get full travel, it was very easy. I just bolted it to the plate (pully) the cable connect to. I did 5 or 6 years ago and it's never been a problem.
