Can a tiller handle from a 40 hp Mariner be used on a 50 hp Mercury classic 50? The reason I ask is my wife figures I'm to old to pull the Mariner to start it. It's a manual start. I would remove the Mariner handle and install it on the Mercury. The merc is electric with controls.

If they are both 4 cylinders should interchange need seral #s

If your wife thinks your to old to pull the Mariner,let her do it.
You can't mount the controls on the Merc and use them?
