First off, I'm new here today & I have to say how impressed I am at how much help I received from my first post today. This looks like a great forum.

I just figured out the electrical problem with my tilt and trim, so I decided to try it out. It didn't go up all the way, and I noticed a leak. Does someone make a hydraulic stop-leak? Or is there an easy fix for this? Here's a picture of where the leak is:

http://www.cookeagency.com/tnt.htm

Re: tilt and trim hydraulics

Only way to repair that is to take the cylinder head off and replace the seal cat. I would suggest a service manual. OEM's are preferred because they give specific info on your engine.

You might check the fluid level in the reservoir. If it's low, the TNT won't get full travel. Remember, check the level with the engine in the full UP position.
