I have a 91 Evinrude 40 HP that has power Tilt and Trim. Problem is, it no longer works. Fow awhile, you could pull from on top and the motor came up with no problem. By this season's end it won't go up or down. I can hear the motor whirr but there is oil (or more likely Hydraulic fluid) on the transom of our pontoon boat. When I look online all I can find are replacement motors and I don't believe it is the motor. The part that won't work looks like a Shock absorber and It may just need Hydraulic fluid but I don't see anyplace to ad it and I don't think that unit should leak. What am I looking for? Could it be a pump? Are there replacement "Pumps" available and where should I look? Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
