I have a 83' 70hp Johnson on a Charger 1600
I don't have an automatic tilt and trim.
I was wondering if it's possibly to add something like that to my OB, and how would I go about doing so?
What parts would I need to look for?
Is there a DIY thread on something like this?
I searched but didn't find anything.
Thanks for looking

its been the topic of many threads lately. you have 2 options: find a used tilt trim setup that will work with that motor on ebay, probably paying around 3-4 hundred for the setup, or get a cmc unit. they are self contained, bolt on and go. http://www.iboats.com/PL-65-Electri...9923501--**********.871378783--view_id.163001

just dont look at the price because you may faint.

Wow Andy thanks for the info.
My manual trim is not allowing me to trim it all the way down.
I'm only allowed to trim it to the second bolt hole because if I get it any lower my prop would scrape the ground as I try and fetch the boat out the water.
How does everybody else do it with a manual trim?
Would I have to raise my trailor bunks or get different kinds?

cant you manually lift the motor up and lock it in the up position before retrieving?
