tilt and trim

i have a 1987 reken ski boat it is finally running, but i have one more question should i have a tilt and trim gauge mine does not and can i get one to put on it

Some I/O's didn't come with a trim gauge as standard. Why is beyond me. I would think that on a boat where you can't see the outdrive a gauge would be mandatory, but mine doesn't have one either.<br /><br /> Since there is a sender back there, it is a simple matter to hook up a gauge- Teleflex makes a universal gauge that you can get for around $40. Follow the directions and you can do it yourself if you are mechanical. I'll be adding mine this winter when I replace the broken trim sender on my boat.<br /><br />UFM82

If this is a Mercrusier it has a place for the sender. Sender will not be installed. Wires will be their. My bet is your wires are bad by now and will need to be replaced (which is a pain)they tend to rot back their. I personally would forget the gage. <br /><br /> Sending Units

I'm with Trent.....<br /><br />It doesn't take alot of hours in the Seat,+ You'll Know, Where, the outdrive Is....
