TILT AND TRIM

OBJ <br />I have bought a 1992 tilt and trim unit both sides boat side and motor side off and evenrude 70 hp, and i have a 1984 60 hp evenrude on my boat. and i want to mount my 1984 60hp rude to the 1992 rude tilt and trim unit that i bought. will the 60 hp rude fit on the steering post of the 1992 rude trim and tilt unit. and thank you for your reply. ken

Don't think so Ken. The 84' uses a lift bracket that bolts to the swivel bracket (I got an 84' 50hp with the same set up). This is the tilt part of the set up. The 92' uses a single tilt cylinder that connects to a bracket cast into the swivel bracket.

OBJ<br />i was wanting to connect the 84 rude to the 92 rude tilt and trim unit useing the round upright steering cylander that connects the motor to the trim unit
