Tilt Motor for AQ270

I have an AQ270 Electrolux KS3884/290.
My old one the bolts snapped so i purchased one from craigslist for a good deal...
does anyone know how i would be able to hook this up to a battery to test to see if the motor spins?

you should be able to jump it with a 12v battery or charger. How many wires does it take?

its a 4 prong.. which wires would i connect to the battery there is believe... so i think its 4 wire... but per my diagram i just cant seem to see the 4th wire on the diagram... which colored wires do i connect to battery to test it?

sorry, I haven't worked with a four wire, just two and three wire...Maybe someone else knows.

thanks after the engine and outdrive are done, around march or so i will begin the fiberglass work.

Man, you should have asked before jumping on that purchase. The four wire is an outdated poor performer. Best to change to a two wire.

Google AQ280 service manual and it will have the wiring diagram for the four wire.

Up=black to +, blue to -. Down=yellow/green to +, brown to -.

I colorized the wiring diagrams for the 4 wire motor too. Makes them a lot easier to understand.
