My tilt motor case is rusted out, it still works, but it is rusted, If I decide to replace the motor do i have to remove the whole unit to get to the screws? It is a 1979 SeaHorse V4.

Thanks

I think you will to get to the back screw. Not that big of job.Remove the pin in the top of the tilt cylinder and 3 bolts on each side of the transom bracket and tilt the whole unit back. Then you can get to the screws.
