I think you will to get to the back screw.Not that big of job.Remove the pin in the top of the tilt cylinder and 3 bolts on each side of the transom bracket and tilt the whole unit back.Then you can get to the screws.My tilt motor case is rusted out, it still works, but it is rusted, If I decide to replace the motor do i have to remove the whole unit to get to the screws? It is a 1979 SeaHorse V4.
